Alameda Affordable Housing (510) 747-4300

Pricing

Rents in our housing are set to stay affordable, usually as a share of household income rather than the open market rate.

Affordable housing is priced against income, not the market. For most of our homes, rent is calculated so that housing stays within reach — commonly around 30% of a qualifying household’s income.

Eligibility and exact rent depend on household size, income and the specific program a home falls under. The ranges below are indicative.
